Crispy Ambulance/Biting Tongues archiveC.A.'a curious, questing collective powered by relentless bass and drums and thin, jarring guitars' Q Magazine Cult fanzine Hardcore is More Than Music presents a rare show by two legendary Factory Records' artists, who last played together, at the ICA, on New Year's Day 1983. Crispy Ambulance were formed in Manchester in 1977 by Alan Hempsall and Robert Davenport. Reformed in 1999, tonight's performance will include music written especially for this ICA event. Biting Tongues, featuring 808 State's Graham Massey, pre-empted the 90s musical language, using pre-sampling techniques, films, spoken word and rhythms. An evening of Northern industrial psychedelia.
