Ticketlinks (11Jan01): It is hard to know who is most out of place in the world depicted by this film. Normally, we would think it to be the vampires, lost in a world of the living, but in this case our 'hero', one Tony Thompson, may be the real 'lost boy'.
Tony ([Jonathan Lipnicki]), the character created by author Angela Sommer-Bodenburg in her childrens' books, is a 9 year old ripped from San Diego to a small Scottish village and feeling very alone. That is until he befriends a vampire, Rudolph ([Rollo Weeks]), hunting for a magic amulet that can turn his family back into humans. Meantime, a freelance vampire slayer, Rookery ([Jim Carter]), is trying to cut short the search and Tony's father ([Richard E Grant]) is trying to cut short the friendship.
If you're expecting a gore fest, go elsewhere. If you're a real fan of Dracula, Nosferatu and all things black and sinister you maybe better watch something else. But if you've got kids and want a fun time, this one could be for you.

USER (11Jan01): I took my kids to this one execting it to be a time for them that I would have to suffer. But actually the comedy is good enough for adults to have a laugh too. Personally, I think it should have been called The Vampire Cows .. tey are certainly the best bit.
