Well, long as it is I enjoyed this film. It does have some quirks though - occasional descent into the 'arty, a few gratuitous bloody bits and some out of place jokes ... none the less, a good night out.

This is a long and very slow-moving film. [Luc Besson] s style is as always flashily visual, more concerned with impact from moment to moment than with showing us anything in particular. All in all, as a recreation of the past this Joan of Arc lags some way behind Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
