The story of an ordinary Czech couple who wish to survive as unnoticed as possible during the German occupation of World War II. Their salvation is complicated not only by the frequent visits of a collaborator friend, but also by a Jewish boy hidden in their larder. In order to divert any suspicions, they try to fit in and are accused of collaborating. Based on a true story this is a black comedy full of understanding of human weakness and the heroism of the everyday.
