It's August 1956 in East Germany, the last day of author Bertold Brecht's summer holiday. He is surrounded by his family and friends, his mistresses past and present - everyone is aware of the various inter-relationships, and they all seem to accept it as part of the failing social structures around them. But as Brecht's health weakens and the Stasi agents close in, everyone becomes increasingly aware that things are about to change drastically... German with English subtitles. Running time 1hr 31 mins.
