Details

Around midnight on 2nd December, 1984 over 40 tonnes of deadly gas leaked out of a pesticide factory owned by the American corporation Union Carbide, at Bhopal in India. Thousands died that night, and thousands have suffered since, yet the Indian government and Union Carbide have mostly walked away from the disaster. The riveting Bhopal Express is a brave movie, that shows the human perspective, building-up our identification with a small group of characters who are hurled into the frenzy of activity that follows the disaster. Championed by David Lynch, and featuring Nassrudin Shah, this moving and combative movie is a milestone along the road to justice for those affected by corporation and political greed.
