A.I. tells the story of David, the first boy robot (or Mecha) who is given the ability to feel as well as think. After being separated from his foster parents, David, together with fellow robot Gigolo Foe, goes in search of adventure and answers, but human extremists, with a desire to destroy all Mechas, aren't behind.
