It is Lent. The time of year when everyone give something up, and Matt Sullivan a San Francisco dot com wiz, makes a vow. His last big relationship ended in disaster and he really is not over it yet. Depressed by casual sex and feeling as if a black hole has opened up in his life, he decides to make a sacrifice that will free him of his obsession with his ex and regain his self-control. No sex. Whatsoever. For forty days and forty nights straight. No kissing. No fooling around. No nothing. Fine until the woman of his dreams walks into his life and everyone from his roommate to his brother (who happens to be a priest) is betting that he won't finish what he started. He is trying to hold on, and hoping that she is willing to hold out... A romantic comedy with a bit more to think about than usual. Packed with great performances and lots of laughs.
