Alun Evans: Black Wound, Bargoed archiveThis exhibition examines ideas concerning landscape, identity and memory. The subject of the artwork is the protracted dispersal of one of the largest heaps of mining debris in Europe, namely Bargoed Colliery coal tip. From oil paintings to charcoal and mixed media drawings the exhibition monitors the transformation of a significant iconic land mass. A Newport Museum and Art Gallery touring exhibition.
