(Can This Be) Home - Will It Always Have a Pull on You?

Work:: (Can This Be) Home (S1823916702)

If you have moved away from where you were born and raised, where is home? Surely it's not back where you came from because something made you want to get away, but is it where you lay your hat tonight? Where the heart is? Or is it both those things and neither? Have you lost something forever by leaving and what have you gained then? Can you ever feel at home again?
Author Kolbrun Bjort Sigfusdottir
Author Tom Oakes

Production:: Will It Always Have a Pull on You? (T1970962509)

(Can This Be) Home is half music gig, half spoken word. Kolbrun Bjort Sigfusdottir examines the immigrant experience of the EU referendum and flautist and composer Tom Oakes plays the tunes his travels have inspired. Between them is a tape deck and a pile of sand. A show literally in the making since the summer before the vote, we take stock of where we are now, whatever that now looks like.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
