My Name Is... glimpses into the world of addiction, the families it effects, the traces it leaves. This visceral work presents the hopelessness of addiction and the enlightenment of recovery, allowing the audience to consider the life of alcoholic adults and those that witness the powerful and difficult process of escaping drugs and alcohol. The story includes snatches of conversation between a father and son living with the dilemma of addiction. Using a sophisticated language of naturalistic performance and heightened contemporary dance unique to the company. My Name Is... will be performed by four dancers with text, and will be backed by live and recorded music.
