Details

A powerful theatrical spectacle inspired by the life and times of the great Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca. Originally created over twenty years ago, Cruel Garden brilliantly meshes dance, music, song and poetry. Its vivid episodes draw on Lorca's turbulent life, his plays, and his untimely death at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War in 1936. Set in a blood-stained bullring, it features a hauntingly atmospheric score.
