The Shout: Tall Stories archiveA staged song cycle charting the experiences of immigrants and refugees to New York in the first half of the 20th Century. Tall Stories takes us from the holds of ships to arrival on Ellis Island; through settlement and early sweatshop employment to the heights of the Manhattan skyscrapers they built; through the sunless anonymity of the metropolis to the underworld of poverty and lost identity; from the search for community to the individual spirit of every survivor.
