Circus Oz archiveSexy, sophisticated, highly skilled and 100% human, this multi-talented group specialises in acts of strength, daring and grace, combined with a peculiar irreverence and crazy humour. You can expect tightwire walking, human fountain statues, chains from the ceiling, machines on fire, high-speed swinging, hanging by fingernails, wiry bodies, strong women, beautiful men, flying freaks and fabulous live music. The audience will be in stitches. Performers will be in pain - but it won't show. Much. Try not to expect a quiet night at the theatre - you will be part of something raucous, hilarious, exhilarating and ridiculous. Circus Oz website.

The Daily Telegraph: 11Jan01: Star RatingStar Rating
The clown is a woman dressed as a man, pretending to be the harassed theatre manager. She doesn t raise a smile all night. The music, with a manic violinist much to the fore, tries desperately to be cutting-edge, but is mostly a dissonant, sludgy mess. I have rarely seen trapeze routines performed with such gallumphing lack of grace.
