Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company - Yesterday

Work:: Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company (S683404131)

Jasmin Vardimon Company (JVC) is one of Britain's most pioneering physical dance theatre companies, creating work that excites both the eye and the mind by pushing the boundaries of human physicality whilst engaging in universal, contemporary themes that strike an emotional chord. Vardimon's powerful art of story-telling integrates multiple layers of communication - combining dance, movement, video, animation, text and music. Her sharp instincts and keen observations of human behaviour deliver beautifully precise characterisation, powerfully brought to life by her company of versatile dancers. Cast from around the world, each performer brings his/her own unique experience, with dynamic results.

Production:: Yesterday (T01880599831)

A piece originally created to celebrate the ten year anniversary of the Jasmin Vardimon Company. Yesterday features some of the most breathtaking duets, striking solos and iconic moments selected from the company's repertoire including Justitia, Park, Lullaby, Tete, Lurelurelure and Ticklish. Integrated with stunning live video animation and new choreography, flashes of daring athleticism are contrasted with moments of touching beauty from the eight international performers. Jasmin Vardimon's back catalogue of critically-acclaimed works is distinguished by her acute observations of human behaviour, insightful humour and daring, engaging drama. Yesterday is no exception, selling out at the Peacock Theatre and earning rave reviews across the globe on its first international tour in 2008. Blasting the stage with passion and Vardimon's trademark physicality, it remains as stirring and socially relevant as ever. Contains material of an adult nature. Age Guidance 14+.
