Born to Be Alive: The True Confessions of Johnny Revive - Chapter 2. The '80s
Work:: Born to Be Alive: The True Confessions of Johnny Revive (S01502620451)
Cardiff-born Johnny Revive has led a chequered life. He rose from managing punk rock bands in the late seventies to running his own film company in the late eighties - when Mrs Thatcher singled him out as a role model for young entrepreneurs. Maybe she didn't know that his success was founded on blackmail and fraud. Or maybe she did - hey, it was the eighties! Pride came before a fall and Johnny left the UK one step ahead of the law. Now, after twenty years living in the Joshua Tree desert, Johnny's back to share his life lessons with the people of his hometown. John Williams, co-founder of the Laugharne Weekend and author of The Cardiff Trilogy, is, like most writers, more of an observer than a performer. But now he's decided to improvise a novel live on stage. That's not the kind of thing John Williams does. So he'll be bringing along his new alter ego, Johnny Revive, to lend a helping hand.
