A chance to hear leading ecologist and natural historian George Peterken as he unlocks the secret histories of trees. Find out how the shapes and formations of trees and woodlands tell rich stories about their past and the people who worked in them. Thursday 18 May, 1.00pm until 1.45pm Keeping Woodlands Alive Talk Jerry Dicker of the Woodlands Trust gives a lively illustrated talk about wildlife in Britain's woodlands. Jerry is a tree surgeon, coppice worker, charcoal maker and woodland craftsman. Come along and share in his enthusiasm for this beautiful but threatened environment.
