Snowdown Male Voice Choir

T159013354
The Snowdown Colliery Welfare Male Voice Choir is based in the village of Aylesham in the heart of the former Kent coalfield. The miners at Snowdown included many from various areas of Wales who formed the choir in 1929. Even though the collieries are now closed, the choir continues to grow and performs regularly in Kent, occasionally in Europe and every two years at the Miners' Eisteddfod in South Wales.
