Tolomeo

Tolomeo

Work:: Tolomeo (S708877379)

One of Handel's simplest narratives tells of two shipwrecked sons of Cleopatra who play out their terrible mother's ambitions on a remote coastline. Tolomeo's famous poison aria, 'Stille amare', remains one of the most effective moments in history of opera. A soulful masterpiece.
