The Fall of the House of Usherettes

The Fall of the House of Usherettes

Work:: The Fall of the House of Usherettes (S3232)

Adapted from Edgar Allen Poe's gothic horror of a not dissimilar title - where film and reality entwine. This is the tale of a crusty old cinema called the Empire. It's the tale of Liquid Film, a long defunct celluloid mixture whose leaked ghosts still flicker in the old fleapit's archives. It's the story, in glorious Technicolor, of the House of Usherettes and of its Fall. Enter Forkbeard's bizarre and hilarious world of wild mechanical sets, cobwebbed wurlitzers, shark-infested developing tanks and film spliced into live action.
