In aid of the Mayor's Charities, Ingrave Community Association Ltd and Claire-Louise Ferris Memorial Trust Fund. In 2009, 13 finalists performed their talents to a packed audience to fight for the crown of Brentwood's Got Talent. The event was organised in aid of the Mayor's charities, and saw a huge amount of applications for auditions. 30 acts were selected to audition, of which a final 13 were chosen. The event was a huge success with a range of ages, groups and performances to suit everybody's tastes. Winners of 3 categories, Group, 11 and Under and 12-17 Years, were selected by a panel of professional judges. Kayzar Dance gave a stunning show of breakdance in order to win the Group category. Dancer, Phoebe Allen won the 11 years and Under category with her performance showing her skills in a range of dance styles. Winner of the 12-17 Years was Rosie Bloom, who sung and played violin to a great standard. Rosie was crowned overall winner by the audience and got to take home a rather nice trophy, as well as the opportunity to perform at some of the year's community events. And 2009 could be even better...
