Steptoe and Son: The Bird/Men of Letters

Work:: Steptoe and Son: The Bird/Men of Letters (S0432239246)

The Bird: Harold meets a girl and against his better judgement agrees to invite her home for supper. She arrives an hour late, and goaded by his father he refuses to let her in. He is angry and upset and goes to bed. Left alone in the front room, the old man reveals the truth....... Men of Letters: Opening with the very famous, and hilarious, 'Scrabble' scene, the rag and bone men are visited by the vicar who asks Harold and Albert to contribute articles to the church magazine. This they do, with Harold penning an historical view of Rag and Boning in the area, and Albert contributing the crossword resulting in the police seizing all the copies under the 'Obscene Publications' Act.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
