Previously known as "An Evening with Queen Victoria". Written entirely in Victoria's own words, this is a rare and humorous prism through which insights into the modern monarchy - its struggles with self-worth, illness, family strife and wily politicians - can be seen with the benefit of hindsight. As "An Evening with Queen Victoria", the play was a world-wide success for 28 years for Prunella Scales, who now features in recently-recorded voiceover made for this adaptation
