The Cabinet Minister
Tour synopsis, cast & creatives
The only politics involved in Pinero's brilliant farce are the politics of social climbing! When Kitty, wife of 'The Cabinet Minister', finds herself deeply in debt she borrows money from her dressmaker's brother. The interest he charges is unusual to say the least. Kitty must introduce him and his sister into 'society'. Kitty, trying desperately to arrange suitable marriages for her son and daughter and surrounded by her chaotic family, is at her wit's end. This fast moving farce has been delighting audiences for over a hundred years.
