The Phantom of the Opera

Show and ticket information for The Phantom of the Opera musical at His Majesty's Theatre, West End.

Set below the stage of the Paris Opera - a horribly deformed ex -performer 'haunts' the backstage and public areas - insisting that he has a box for his own private use. He falls in love with a beautiful young chorus singer and trains his pupil (who never sees him) to take over the star role. She excels and everyone wonders where she came from and how she developed such a beautiful voice. The Phantom, who has now revealed himself to her, decides to take her with him to spend her life in his subterranean lair but she is rescued by her lover.

The Phantom of the Opera is now available in a schools version.

USER (08Apr06): have seen this 3 times and a 4th in May, absolutely mesmerising every time I see it. The film cannot compare to the stage at all!! These performers deserve oscars !! 5

USER (11Dec04): It's fantastic, brilliant performance! I'd like to buy DVD with the Original Cast (London), but don't know, where. Please, help!!! 5
USER (09Dec04): The current show is fantastic. Only problem is that, if you, like me, have listened to the original cast production soundtrack endlessly you will find yourself comparing the live performance with the perfection of the CD. It just isn't fair to do --- it's an absolutely fantastic production, haunting and beautiful from start to finish. 5
USER (08Nov04): the phantom of the opera was one of the best plays i have witnessed. The music was utterly mesmerising and i can't wait to watch it again 5

USER (13Sep04): The Phantom Of The Opera is a must see. I've been 8 times, that's how much I love it!! It never gets tired with new casts and new additions to the show! Now with the orchestrations it's even better!! Reviewer of the 31 May 01 clearly has no idea about Theatre or they'd write a more contructive review. 5
USER (18Aug04): BEST IN THE WEST END!! MUST SEE!!! 5
USER (15Jul04): It's the best ever musical! Some people just dont know how to appreciate it! 5
snorer (31May01): what a boring musical. Dont bother to go, or you may fall asleep like I nearly did! 2
